Reaching out to Venice
It seems to me that in cities like Venice, people bring a part of their soul that is destined to perish. A hospice-city for stories with a close and inevitable end. A city where the act of letting go is akin to traversing bridges that span narrow canals, where each crossing is reminiscent of the previous one, yet marking another stride towards the finale. Here, moisture permeates your lungs like sweetened nicotine, and when rain falls, ocher dust descends upon you, as light as ash.
